What degrees do you hold and what compiled experience do you have in
martial arts?
1st Degree black belt in Taekwondo, Since December 2002.

What classes do you teach presently?
Head instructor for Taekwondo Olympic style sparring.
Friday nights 6-7pm

When did you start your martial arts training? How many years have you
been with River City Martial Arts / Song Moo Kwan?
I started in 2000. All with Song Moo Kwan

What positive qualities, aspects, atmosphere, etc., do you find at River
City Martial arts Academy and why would you encourage potential
students to train here?
Great training space. Instructors care about their students.
Mr. Stevens is one of the most knowledgable instructors anywhere.

Please describe your philosophy as an instructor regarding instructing
students and in general martial arts training for yourself.
Keep the energy high, lots of encouragement.

martial arts?
More than 15 years of studying & practicing Tai Chi in various styles:
Yang, Chen Pan Ling & Chen

Tai Chi

When did you start your martial arts training? How many years have you
been with River City Martial Arts / Song Moo Kwan?
Started in 80's.
Approximately 5 years at RCMA as student then instructor.

What positive qualities, aspects, atmosphere, etc., do you find at River
City Martial arts Academy and why would you encourage potential
students to train here?
Very welcoming & supportive atmosphere.
Excellent & patient instructors

students and in general martial arts training for yourself.
My goal is to ensure my students learn both the form and the principles

martial arts?
Red w/black stripe. I teach Hapkido every Monday 6-7 and attend 6-7 Tue
And 7-8 Wed.

Assistant instructor for Hapkido

When did you start your martial arts training? How many years have you
been with River City Martial Arts / Song Moo Kwan?
Back in sixth grade as a after school activity and I've been continuing for
eight years.

What positive qualities, aspects, atmosphere, etc., do you find at River
City Martial arts Academy and why would you encourage potential
students to train here?
The variety and knowledge along with the experience that everyone
contributes helps to gain the full view of the styles. Everyone is always
willing to help you achieve more for yourself.

students and in general martial arts training for yourself.
When teaching other students I believe that making sure they fully
understand the basics of what they are doing before learning more. Also
keeping things as interesting and exciting to help develop a fun and
